- the drainage pipe is incorrectly installed (a 15% slope towards the street is required). Disassemble the air conditioner and lay the pipe correctly;
- The tube is pinched or cracked, the joint is depressurized. It is necessary to replace the tube with a new, whole one made of high-quality material;
- If the sewage pipe goes into the sewer, sometimes a "pseudosiphon" is arranged: the hose is bent in a special way so that gases from the sewage system do not enter the room. The air conditioner is leaking because the bend prevents condensation from draining. Solution to the problem: change the pseudosiphon to a special siphon for the air conditioner;
- The system is clogged. Mold or dirt can accumulate in the condensation tray, drain hose, or water outlet. The solution to the problem of draining condensate from the air conditioner: clean or blow out the drainage system. You can use special cleaning agents for this or call specialists, saying that water is flowing from the air conditioner.

Reasons for leakage outside:
- Lack of freon in the system. Frost and ice freeze on the pipes, which gradually melt and water drips from the outdoor unit. What to do: top up the air conditioner;
- Dirty evaporator. The air conditioner leaks because dust, dirt and lint interfere with the heat exchange between the evaporator and the ambient air. He freezes over and “cries”;
- When it is cold outside, the pressure in the freon line and the temperature of the evaporator decrease. In such cases, the equipment is equipped with a condensing pressure regulator. Air conditioners operating in rooms with a special microclimate (server rooms) are initially equipped with this regulator.
Dripping neighbors air conditioner
For some owners, a completely different problem is associated with the outflow of condensate: the air conditioner of the neighbors is dripping. Drops fall on the window, sill or outdoor unit of the lower air conditioner. If your neighbors' air conditioner is dripping, you need to ask them to turn the drain tube outlet slightly away from your windowsill. It is advisable to cover your outdoor unit with a protective visor.
