Moisture is constantly condensing on the cold evaporator and the freon line. Therefore, if water flows from the drainage pipe outside, it is simply condensation dripping from the air conditioner. Flows down the wall
If a section of the wall near the hole for communications leading to the outdoor unit gets wet, the problem is poor insulation. The heating main must be insulated along its entire length.
Otherwise, condensation will constantly form in places of contact with air.
You will have to enlarge the hole around the pipes and wrap them with insulation. Otherwise, mold will appear on the wall after a while.
Water dripping from the indoor unit
Water drips from the air conditioner for the following reasons:
- the outflow of condensate is disturbed (drainage pipes are clogged);
- there is dirt and dust on the evaporator filters;
- the indoor unit is not installed correctly, condensation is dripping from the air conditioner.
If water drips from the unit around the room, the owners should pay attention to the cleanliness of the drainage system.
Neglect of service leads to the accumulation of mold, debris and sometimes even insect corpses.
When the air conditioner drips with dirty water, it directly indicates that the filters are dirty.
For the normal drainage of condensate, it is necessary that the indoor unit is installed strictly horizontally with a slight slope towards the street. Drainage pipes are also mounted with a slope. If this rule is violated, water will flow out from under the case.
And the last of the most common reasons why it drips is the poor quality materials of the drainage system. Tubes are purchased separately, so some craftsmen are trying to save money. After a while, they bend or crack, and water drips from the air conditioner unit.
Flowing from the outdoor unit of the air conditioner
When the air conditioner is on for a long time, condensation may collect on some parts of the outdoor unit. Since no drainage system is provided outside, water simply drips from the air conditioner. It is not dangerous for the equipment. Even if a small puddle is gathering under the block, you don't have to worry.
But you should take a closer look at the valve. If it freezes and water drips from the air conditioner unit, the problem is a lack of freon. It is necessary to add refrigerant to the air conditioner. A light bloom of frost should not bother the owners, but if the valve is covered with a crust of ice, you need to turn off the equipment and call the master.
